Cardano Q&A recap, 2nd October 2026

Friday's Cardano Q&A worked through a busy fortnight across Cardano and Midnight, from on-chain compliance primitives to a stablecoin going live and one of the world's biggest football clubs arriving on-chain. Here is the rundown, with the links shared on the call. It is aimed at delegators, builders and anyone tracking where the ecosystem is heading.
Cardano programmable tokens (CIP-0113) - on-chain compliance rules for tokenised assets
https://cardanofoundation.org/blog/programmable-tokens-cardano
Cardano's programmable token standard (CIP-0113) adds a way to attach compliance and transfer rules directly to a token, enforced on-chain rather than by an off-chain intermediary. For tokenised real-world assets - stablecoins, securities, regulated instruments - issuers can bake in the controls they need while keeping settlement native to Cardano. It is an enabling piece for the kind of regulated, asset-backed tokens the ecosystem has been building toward.
Midnight permissionless smart contracts - Sebastien Guillemot's announcement
https://x.com/SebastienGllmt/status/2105899291273478584
Midnight signalled a move to permissionless smart contract deployment, so builders can ship to the privacy-focused chain without gatekeeping. Opening deployment up is the groundwork for a wider developer base, and it is well timed given Midnight's accelerator push further down this list.
RealFi live on Cardano mainnet - USDrf stablecoin now tradeable on Cardano DEXes
https://x.com/realfi_co/status/2105659304556580878
RealFi went live on Cardano mainnet, with its USDrf stablecoin now tradeable on Cardano DEXes after a sizeable testnet cohort cleared the way. More native stablecoin liquidity is good news for everyday on-chain activity and DeFi on Cardano. Full details, including any eligibility terms, are on RealFi's own announcement.
FC Barcelona Barça Fan Lab - web3 fan club built on Cardano with Andamio
FC Barcelona launched Barça Fan Lab, a digital fan experience built on Cardano with Andamio and backed by Project Catalyst. A club of that scale choosing Cardano is a notable mainstream signal, and it runs on the same Andamio learning-and-credential stack used elsewhere in the ecosystem.
Midnight NIGHT token - Glacier Drop claim portal
https://midnight.network/blog/glacier-drop-claim-portal-now-open
Midnight's Glacier Drop claim portal for the NIGHT token is live. The initial claim window has now run its course and the next distribution phase has opened, so it is worth checking the portal for where things stand if NIGHT is on your radar.
Midnight Build Club - 8-week accelerator for privacy-focused founders
https://midnight.network/build-club
Build Club is Midnight's eight-week accelerator for privacy-focused founders, with mentorship, tools and resources, and a Demo Day at the end. For teams building on Midnight it is a clear route in, and it is one we will be watching closely this cohort.
Musashi - Cardano Leios incentivised testnet
https://kleioscan.com/#/musashi/leios
Musashi is the incentivised testnet for Leios, Cardano's high-throughput evolution. Testing at this stage is how the network proves its throughput gains before they reach mainnet, and FLUID pool is taking part.
